TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Badr Grappling Participation Terms, Waiver & Consent
1. Acknowledgement of Risk
I understand that wrestling, grappling and related training are physically demanding contact activities. Participation may involve risks including, but not limited to, bruises, cuts, sprains, strains, fractures, concussion or other serious injury.
Badr Grappling will take reasonable steps to reduce risk through supervision, safety rules, appropriate coaching and controlled training. However, I understand that injuries can still happen.
2. Medical Fitness and Emergency Treatment
I confirm that I, or the participant I am registering, am physically able to take part in training.
I agree to provide accurate information about any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, medication or other relevant health matters.
In the event of injury or illness during a Badr Grappling session, I authorise the club, coaches or volunteers to seek appropriate medical assistance if needed.
3. Rules and Conduct
All participants must follow the instructions of coaches and volunteers at all times.
Participants must train safely, respect their training partners, stop immediately when told, and respect the tap.
The club may refuse or stop participation where behaviour is unsafe, aggressive, disrespectful or puts others at risk.
4. Children’s Participation
For participants under 18, this policy must be accepted by a parent or legal guardian.
Parents/guardians must complete the relevant registration, medical, emergency contact and consent sections before the child takes part.
Children must be signed in and signed out by a parent, guardian or approved adult unless written permission has been given otherwise.
Parents/guardians must ensure the club is informed of any medical, behavioural, safeguarding or collection concerns that may affect the child’s participation.
5. Safeguarding
Badr Grappling is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all participants, including children and young people.
Any safeguarding concerns should be raised with the club’s safeguarding/welfare contact or a coach as soon as possible.
Adults involved in the children’s class must follow the club’s safeguarding rules and must not place themselves in inappropriate one-to-one situations with children.
6. Photos and Videos
Photos or videos may be taken for club, training or promotional purposes only where appropriate consent has been given.
For children, photo and video consent must be given by a parent or legal guardian through the registration form.
Badr Grappling will aim to use images respectfully and safely.
7. Personal Information
Badr Grappling collects personal information to manage membership, attendance, emergency contacts, medical safety, safeguarding, insurance and club administration.
Information will be stored securely and only shared where necessary for safety, safeguarding, legal, insurance or emergency reasons.
8. Liability
Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Participants and parents/guardians acknowledge the inherent risks of grappling and wrestling and agree to follow all club rules, safety instructions and supervision requirements.
9. Agreement to Terms
By continuing to the registration form and submitting the required information, I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to these terms.
For participants under 18, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian and that I give permission for the child named in the registration form to take part in Badr Grappling activities under these terms.
